We provide developers with an ICF contractor that has a proven track record of reliability, speed and great attention to detail. We work with our clients to minimise pump visits to site while maximising pump usage while on site. This results in the faster production of houses while lowering the costs. Out teams have often pumped 100m3 to 120m3 of concrete in one day. With our unique proping details we can build and pour gables with the upstairs units. This results in the typical delivery of 8 two-story units a month from rising walls to gables.

Insulated Concrete Forms are the future of the building industry. Popular for both residential and commercial ICF construction, ICFs create homes and businesses that are energy-efficient, fire-resistant, sound-proof, and durable.  Properly constructed, they are hurricane-proof, and stand up to earthquake, fire, and other natural disasters equally well.  Many homes conserve energy so well that heating and cooling costs are reduced by 50-70 percent.

Having been involved with ICF construction for around 7 years, and in that time having been involved with more than 80 ICF projects, we have heard over and over again the predominant opinion that ICF construction is expensive. However, with the current price escalation of wood products and the high energy loss associated with block built houses, people are looking more and more at other building solutions, so they can proceed with their projects, and yet still be able to make them affordable. With the current price levels and limited availability of wood products such as OSB, plywood, I joists, etc, there is a strong argument that ICF construction is currently the less expensive building method, so what better time than to consider ICF for a residential, or commercial project?

At Eco Wall Construction and ICF we believe in offering construction solutions that minimise energy usage throughout the life of a building.

What is ICF?

Insulated Concrete Forms or ICF originated in Scandinavia and has been in Ireland since the 1970s.

Insulated Concrete Forms or ICF is originally a Scandinavian construction technique that is now being widely adapted in Ireland and the UK. It generally involves light, premade forms that fit together as large interlocking blocks.

These forms are held together by high strength frames, and into this cavity, liquid concrete is then poured. If the proper care and due process is taken when building with ICF it can eliminate even the tiniest, unseen gaps that can occur in conventional block-work construction, you are ensuring an exceptionally high standard of airtightness, virtually eliminating thermal bridging.
